Tonight I'll probably dig out the Erika 41 (since that's my newest and hasn't had a proper workout yet).

The Noiseless Model Seven does indeed have a unique feel. I kinda like it, but you always have to re-adjust after coming back to it.Duffy Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10105074089216551597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076297729013304086.post-89898200127332749362010-10-31T19:36:43.089-04:002010-10-31T19:36:43.089-04:00I know what you mean. I'm going to mostly stick with my KMM, and if I need to use something portable, my Olivetti will come in handy. By the way, saw that post about the Royal Mercury, and that actually made me want one! I really think I'd like one now!! But, I highly recommend the Olivetti. That will give you a whole new perspective on portable! Maybe St. Vinnie will bring one by for you!Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01004430836301702086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076297729013304086.post-12670170492674248792010-10-31T14:04:12.608-04:002010-10-31T14:04:12.608-04:00I can understand how you feel about the Remington ...I can understand how you feel about the Remington noiseless portables. They don't provide the "smack" that conventional typewriters do, and many people don't think that they feel right. I grew up using this one, so I'm fond of it -- on the other hand, I now recognize its peculiarities and I admit that it's not my favorite typing sensation. I am going to pay tribute to my old friend by using it for at least a good chunk of the novel, but I can't swear that I'll stick to it for the whole month!Richard Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16232053429935587826noreply@blogger.com
