  1. Good job on getting some apprenticing for typewriter repair. Since I'm 34, I'm happy to know that they'll be someone I can turn to for the problems I can't fix myself!

Nice find with pinkie, too! I've never found a "fun" colored typewriter before.

  2. Congratulations! Certainly a great deal. And the chance to learn close-up from an expert typewriter repairman is a golden opportunity.

  3. I know! And Deek, finding "fun" colored typewriters isn't too easy. Unless it's something like a Studio 44 or an Olivetti Valentine.

  4. Any pink typer I've ever had didn't come to me that way (well, except the Futura, which I *hated* and gave to a good home).

This is one of those machines that, if you were so inclined, you could probably sell for a nice profit (definitely so, considering what you paid for it) and you could probably get several other replacement FPs for it - FPs in more boring colors.

  5. I think that this one's a keeper. It just types too good!

  6. that's pretty cool! plus they know you'll take care of it.
I got a GIANT FP from strikethru for free, and yeah it feels great to type on. Mine's got a wide carriage and came from a police department in CA. not the coral color though, just the boring off-white.

do you have the book for it?

  7. Nope. I do wish I had the manual. And they're great typewriters!
