Lucky, lucky fellow! I'm certain you will enjoy them immensely. Hermes 3000's are really amazing machines. (:Congrats on your recovery also!
You know, I kinda hate you. Typewriters falling into your lap... *sigh*... Guess being a hobo really is the life for me, as that doesn't happen. But honestly, congrats on making it through. :) Very proud of you--I know how hard a road it is.Art
Both the 2000 and 3000 are excellent machines. The Hermes 3000 is widely acclaimed, but I must admit I have a soft spot for the 2000, which I find has a nicer design, and an equally special feel to it. The Hermes 2000 came in many different designs, I wonder which ones you'll get. My favourite is the original black version with the thin keys (http://typewriters.ch/collection/hermes_2000.html). Welcome back! tanned, rested and ready!Ask someone old about that phrase.you lucky dog with those Hermes machines.
Ask the cosmic typosphere and you shall receive! - seems to be the message here. Well done.
Shordzi, the 2000 I'm getting is a Minty green one.
You can certainly color me jealous of all the typewriter goodies you get falling into your lap:)Welcome back and I look forward to your experiences with the SG1!
Great to hear from you again, and wonderful to hear you're in good health. For some reason Hermes machines just never make their way here into Ohio country. Lots of Royals and Smith Coronas, not much in the way of European machines. We expect a full report.
Color me Hermes-green with envy...that's quite a gift! Looking forward to hearing about them!Welcome back!
Quite the gifts! I hope you use them well. Welcome back for real, Matt.
Hey Matt- Welcome home man. I thought you were giving me the 2000. Just Kidding. I just picked up a 3000 today in 14 pitch. Man that's small type. Hope your new machines come soon. Keep blogging.
Welcome back!! What a nice gift those Hermes are. I'm looking forward to reading lots of typecasts from you.
Welcome back and congratulations on getting yourself in good health.
