Glad you had a great Christmas Matt. The QDL looks awesome and the type is really good. Let me know what else you got tomorrow. Looking forward to more posts from you.
Thanks! Hey Tom, I assume you're not in the shop today? I called well after 9:00 and didn't get an answer. And notagain, I do absolutely love the look of the "tombstone" keys as well. They are VERY comfortable to type on.
Very nice! That case looks like it's newer (of more recent vintage, that is) than the typer. I have a QDL just like that one, and mine came with a textured black wooden case. I have a newer QDL variant (Speed King) that has the vaguely tweed-looking case seen here.
And, btw, nothing wrong with encouraging us to keep typing. I haven't posted a typecase in forever, and I'm starting to feel ashamed about that.
Actually, the tweed case is in fact the original one, and I've seen plenty other QDL's that have the same exact case. Chances are, the original case to yours was lost at some point in time...

ReplyDeleteHoly tomales, that's a nice machine! So then, does more machines equal more writing too? ;-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe!
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty.
