I didn't know the history of the 10 but you've given me a new appreciation for them. It's great that you really wanted one and that you found one for a such a good deal. I love how these machines only need a new platen and a new ribbon, and then they're off for another century's worth of typing. Lovely.
mine has the two panes of glass, it's from 1918. That's a good story. I'm curious though - what happened to the other machines?
ReplyDeleteI've still got them! The adding machine is going to Tom Furrier to display in his shop, and I still don't know what to do with the Check Machine.
